Invited by Wu Promotion, the Bamberger Symphoniker toured China from May 15th to 24th. After a successful tour in 2013, it is the second time Bamberger Symphoniker cooperated with Wu Promotion. One of the highlights of the tour was the performance on May 17th, in the Chen Shan Botanical Garden in Shanghai, which is the largest Botanical Garden in East China. The fairy tale like hills, the green grass and the setting sun created the perfect setting for the thousands of audiences to enjoy, among other pieces, Mendelssohn’s “Midsummer Night's Dream”. As encore the orchestra played a Chinese composition called <Nice night>, a great interpretation of a summer night, like this one.

This tour is not the first time Wu Promotion worked with Maestro Maisky. Twelve years ago, in 2003, Wu Promotion organized a tour for Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra in Europe and Egypt also featuring Maestro Maisky as the soloist. Both Wu Promotion and Mischa Maisky hope that the next cooperation won’t have to wait another 12 years.
