On February 25th and 26th, 2013, the world renowned tabla player Zakir Hussain joined hands with Symphony Orchestra of India (SOI) to make their debut at the magnificent Royal Opera House Muscat of Oman. This Middle East tour of the SOI was considered not only as a milestone for the orchestra, but also for Wu Promotion. It is the first tour to the Middle East made by the orchestra as well as the first attempt of Wu Promotion to organize a foreign ensemble to perform overseas.

The concerts given by Zakir Hussain and SOI had attracted great attention from local audience. Under the baton of Zane Dalal, the SOI respectively played Glinka's "Ruslan and Lyudmila" - Overture as well as "Symphony No.5 in E minor", Op64 by Tchaikovsky. During the first half of the concerts, Music Director of SOI as well as the famous violinist Marat Bisengaliev passionately performed "Violin Concerto in D major", Op.35 by Tchaikovsky, fully showcasing his brilliant techniques and skills.

At the very beginning of the second half, immediately started the strong drumbeat. With it, the audience became animated and the atmosphere jubilant. Out of the love and enthusiasm for the table player Zakir Hussain and his partners banjo player Béla Fleck and double bass player Edgar Meyer, the spectators gave thunderous applaud for each piece of their performances. The Triple Concerto - "Melody of Rhythm" by three artists and SOI became the highlight of the nights. Even as the concerts concluded, the audience kept on applauding and was reluctant to such end the nights. The three artists had to encore with compositions as long as 30 minutes, which appeased the yearning of the audience.

The wonderful performance by SOI at the Royal Opera House Muscat of Oman had a far-reaching importance for the internationalization process of Wu Promotion. It started a new page in Wu Promotion’s history by organizing a foreign artistic ensemble to give cross-country performances (out of China) for the first time, besides its strength in bringing foreign groups to tour China and leading Chinese groups to perform in the world stage.
