The concerts they gave at Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Dalian and Nanning, from April 20 to 30, were a success.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of cooperation between the two artists, and the China tour was significant in that presented the tie-up in retrospective. Besides playing classical pieces in their album, Power of Women, they also selected works expressing the tender and romantic spirit of female artists. They performed Sonata for Viola and Piano in C Minor by Julius Röntgen, especially for a Chinese audience. By playing a piece that best represents the Dutch sentiment, they offered the Chinese audience a chance to savor authentic Dutch art.

The deep and melodious tune of the viola sounded all the more graceful, in harmony with the gentle piano. The audience was deeply touched by the wonderful performance by the two artists, who received a lengthy ovation when the show was over. After the show, the artists were interviewed by Tianjin TV, in which they introduced their music and expressed their fascination with China.

Pehlivanli and Safonova were impressed by the reception in China and moved by the enthusiasm of music lovers across the country. They said the standing ovation from the audience was the greatest recognition of their performance.
