From June 18th to 25th, the Duo Ovinge (violin) and Papova (piano) enjoyed a successful tour in Dalian, Chongqing, Shanghai and Nanjing. The beautiful, charming pair delivered performances full of youthful exuberance. Their music was received like a refreshing summer breeze to their enchanted audiences.

Though just 22 years old, violinist Ovinge has already toured Europe several times. The strength of her character comes through in her intense performances. Power and detail coexist to make a deep impression on the audiences. Pianist Papova's performances were also full of energy and resonated with the audience, drawing them into the profound meaning of the music. The duo not only demonstrated astounding dexterity but also clearly displayed the beauty and emotion of their music itself. The concerts opened with Ovinge's most well known piece, Sur le fil, from the soundtrack of the popular French film, Amelie. This piece started softly but soon touched the audience deeply before leaving them transfixed. As the tune progressed, the tension and power grew and built to a crescendo when both strains of the tune came together in a vibrant culmination. The theatre was filled with the power of their expressive performance.

This was their first tour in China and they greeted each new city with fresh-faced enthusiasm. They were most curious about the culture of China, such as the everyday-life and dining. The two were especially amazed by the unique style of Chinese architecture and the modernization of the country. Their warm and kind behavior also left a deep impression on the audiences.
