Time in early July will be for top cellists--the 12 Cellists of the Berliner Philharmoniker! The award-winning ensemble composed of Berliner Philharmoniker cellists are back to China again after their unforgettable tour performing contemporary classics last year!
This time, "Berlin's most unique and famous ensemble" (Die Welt) will bring cross-cultural musical conversations through their “incomparable sound of 48 strings” (Faz)! Repertoires ranging from Baroque suite, Piazzolla’s tango, to classic film soundtracks in the twentieth century, discovering how are the musicians going to “reinterpret” music history through their live performance! The cellists are also going to present audiences Chinese traditional pieces rearranged by themselves! Stay tuned for the 12 cellists’ 2026 tour! They will visit Xinghai Concert Hall on July 2nd, Nantong Grand Theatre on the 4th, Shanghai Oriental Art Center on the 5th, and close their tour on the 8th and 9th a NCPA!
