With the support of the China National Peking Opera Company,the 9th Chinese Opera Festival had a successful conclusion. From 1 to 10 November, led by its Vice President Ms. Ying Chen and head of the company Mr. Jianguo Zhang, the artists of CNPOC showed the deep heritage of traditional Chinese culture by performing The Legend of the White Snake and patriotic production The Women Generals of the Yang Family and strengthening cultural relations between China and Russia. Being one of the key projects of the Ministry of Culture, this Russian tour is strongly supported by the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Vladivostok and the Consulate General of The People's Republic of China in St. Petersburg. It was widely broadcast in both countries.

It was the first time that the Peking Opera was staged in Vladivostok. Mr. Wenbin Yan, the Consul General of The People's Republic of China in Vladivostok, expressed his gratitude for CNPOC’s fantastic performances, saying: ‘It’s a big event in helping cultural exchange between the two countries, and it opens a window for Russian audience to explore traditional Chinese art’ .
