Denys Proshchayev 

Born in 1978 and studied at the Academy of Music in Kiev in the Ukraine with I. Lipatova, graduating in 1988. He continued his studies as a pianist at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hanover with Vladimir Krainev and was in the conducting calss of Eiji Oue. Denys Proshchayev has won many competitions, including the E. Pozzoli Competition in Seregno, Italy; he took second Prize at the European piano competition in Bremen. He was awarded a stipend from the Yamaha Music Foundation Europe in 2002. Denys Proshchayev continues to give piano recitals and chamber music concerts in Germany, Austria, France, Italy, the Ukraine and in the United States of America. He has recorded on several occasions for the Germany Broadcasting Union (ARD). At the International Music Competition of the ARD in 2002 he received both the First Prize and the Audience Prize.

In the coming season he will make his debuts with the Czech Philharmonic, the Munich Philharmonic, the Leipzig Radio Orchestra, the Danish Radio Orchestra, the Frankfurt Opera Orchestra to name a few.
