Biography

Sara Övinge and Natallia Papova have recently started to collaborate, both as a duo and in a piano trio with cellist Frida Værvågen. They were awarded first prize in a chamber music competition at the Norwegian Academy of Music in 2010, and appeared at the Oslo Chamber Music Festival the same year. Their collaboration also contributed towards Ms. Övinge's first prize in the Ljunggren Competition in the autumn of 2010.

Sara Övinge, Violin 

Violinist Sara Övinge, born 1988 in the Swedish city Norrköping, is considered one of Scandinavia's most talented young musicians of today. She started taking violin lessons at the age of four and made her first appearance as soloist with Norrköping Symphony Orchestra at six. In the autumn of 2010 she embarked on her Artist Diploma in Performance at the Royal College of Music in London.

Sara Övinge has appeared as soloist in various European countries and has received numerous grants, awards and prizes. She has considerable experience as soloist with orchestras such as the Nordic Youth Symphony Orchestra, Royal Norwegian Navy's Band, Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra.

Natallia Papova, Piano

Natallia Papova was born in Ekaterinburg in Russia and began playing the piano at six. She has given numerous recitals both as soloist and chamber musician, appearing in concerts and at festivals in Norway, France, Belarus, Russia, Lithuania, Sweden, Finland, Austria and the USA. She has been awarded several prizes and grants. In 2003 she won first prize in the piano competition at the Belarusian Academy of Music. At the Nordic Kokkola Lied Competition for duos in 2007 in Finland she was awarded a third prize.
