The Music Academy graduates of Four Bones Trombone Quartet (2002) are really committed to their elegant and special musical instruments.

Since its formation, the Quartet has given successful concerts on several events and festivals in Hungary and abroad. They regularly perform on the programs of the Long Night of Museums. They have played on Sziget Festival, Museums` Festival, Plein Art Contemporary Art Festival and Söndörgő Festival. The group has already appeared in the Palace of Arts, in the Great Concert Hall of the Music Academy, in Ludwig Museum, in the Museum of Fine Arts and in the French Institute. They have already given concerts in Austria, England, Romania and Germany. The Quartet was invited to the final of the Trombone Competition and Festival of Birmingham in 2006, organized by the International Trombone Association (ITA). The Quartet has a wide repertoire from the early Renaissance to 21st century contemporary music, from Classical melodies, through light rhythms to jazz.

The versatility of the Quartet was shown in a performance representing different arts in June 2007 in the Palace of Arts. They have created a completely new genre with that performance. The performance was featuring recognized artists such as János Nagy composer pianist, who is also the composer of the play (Impressions), Bea Palya singer, Orsolya Karafiáth poetess and Tamás “Tobzi” Kovács. The work of photographers made the performance even more interesting.

The Quartet has performed in various significant concert halls as a jazz formation accompanying outstanding artists such as the great singer, Zita Gereben.

“…I have known an extremely well-prepared, reliable and musical group in Four Bones Quartet. They had an unforgettable performance on the classical music stage of Sziget Festival…”

- David Zsoldos, CEO Fidelio

“…The virtuoso quartet with its four young members is our well-prepared and reliable partner. Their talented and fascinating music has deservedly become the favorite of our visitors…”

- Agnes Szebenyi, Országos Szinháztörténeti Intézet

“…Those who eye-and ear-witnessed the “Impressions”, composed for the Four Bones Quartet, probably agree that special and from most of us hidden sounds were born in this contemporary work. The play of the four wind instruments itself is already surprisingly daring, almost provoking…”

- Magyar Hírlap

“…The audience, under the pressure of the nice journey’s impressions, realizes the accomplishment behind the live performance only hours after the performance. That these professional artists have experienced new and unknown fields in “Impressions”. They have participated in a risky adventure and have shared its freshness and excitement with the audience…”
