Onoccasion of its 30th anniversary, the JU Percussion Group, Asia’s top percussion ensemble, began their 17-day European tour on September 23, with performances at the Brucknerhaus in Linz, Austria, the Alte Oper in Erfurt, Germany, the Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna, Austria, and the Palace of Arts in Budapest, Hungary, presenting works including 3 Epilogues, Solar Myth, and Drumming Fest.

Performing at the Brucknerhaus in Linz, Austria on September 23, the JU Percussion group dazzled audiences with their fusion of Chinese and Western percussion music and innovative programming. Their encore presentation of two Taiwanese folk songs brought the concert to a climax, winning resounding applause from the audience. On the 26th, the group gave an incredible performance at the 300-year-old historic the Alte Oper in Erfurt, Germany. Their encore performance of Body Play set the audience on fire and received rounds of applause and cheers. Many of the audience members lingered after the performance to take part in the post-show autograph session. On the 29th, the JU Percussion Group returned to Austria and gave their first performance at the Wiener Konzerthaus. More than 90% of the theater seats were filled. The group won over audiences in the City of Music with their spectacular performance that fused traditional and contemporary elements, as well as Eastern and Western percussion techniques.
