For the first time in its more than three-decade history, the Verbier Festival—one of the world’s most influential classical music festivals—will step beyond Europe and arrive in China. From 30 January to 8 February 2026, Verbier Festival 2026 Shenzhen will enliven the city with a ten-day celebration of exceptional artistry, education, and cross-cultural exchange.
Founded in 1994 in the Alpine town of Verbier, Switzerland, the Festival has long been recognised for its unique mission: to foster a vibrant community of exchange between legendary masters and outstanding young musicians from around the world. Today, it stands as a global leader in music education, its atmosphere shaped by a dynamic blend of large-scale performances, intimate encounters, and a deep commitment to artistic mentorship. The upcoming Shenzhen edition marks a historic moment: the Festival’s first appearance outside Europe. Over ten days, the city will welcome: • 21 concerts, Among these events, 17 concerts will be presented at the Shenzhen Concert Hall, with an additional 4 concerts hosted at the Shenzhen Longgang International Art Center—bringing the essence of Verbier’s Alpine musical spirit to two of the region’s premier cultural venues.
