The Hungarian Budapest Festival Orchestra successfully embarked on their 2023 China tour from November 29th to December 7th, performing at the Xinghai Concert Hall, the Changsha Concert Hall, the Qintai Concert Hall, and the National Centre for the Performing Arts in the capital. The tour was conducted by Maestro Iván Fischer, accompanied by pianist Anna Vinnitskaya, delivering a wonderful performance of Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, and Schubert's pieces.

In 5 concerts across 4 cities, nearly 7000 spectators shared an unforgettable musical experience. Many praised the performances as "the best of the year," "deeply moving," and "full of surprises." The orchestra expressed their utmost sincerity by returning to the stage for an encore performance of "Jasmine" in a grand chorus, as a gesture of gratitude to the Chinese audience.

In addition to the meticulously prepared concerts, adhering to the orchestra's philosophy of "sharing the highest quality music and serving society in diverse ways," maestro Iván Fischer and several musicians participated in special activities before the performance at the Xinghai Concert Hall, listening to music performed by disabled children. Iván Fischer praised the children's beautiful voices, which deeply moved him.

After the tour, numerous enthusiastic audience left messages expressing their anticipation for the Budapest Festival Orchestra's prompt return to China for another performance.
