Guangzhou Symphony Youth Orchestra 2023 European Tour Ends Successfully

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Spain and the 30th anniversary of the Verbier Festival in Switzerland,Guangzhou Symphony Youth Orchestra(GSYO) embarked on the European tour in July. The tour lasted for 12 days. Led by Music Director Jing Huan and cellist Wang Jian. The orchestra's first stop was the Palau De Les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia, followed by a performance at the Festival Veranos De La Villa in Madrid, and the thired station at the L’ Auditori De Barcelona. As the first Chinese orchestra to be invited, the GSYO made its debut at the prestigious Verbier Festival.

The Verbier concert was broadcast live on medici.tv and domestically rebroadcasted by Yangshipin (China Media Group Mobile) and Tencent Arts, attracting a total of 178,000 viewers. Renowned conductor Christoph Eschenbach was also in attendance and expressed his approval by using the word "Fantastic" three times.
