From 23 October to 2 November, the Vienna Philharmonic successfully ended its tour in Hong Kong, Taipei, and Kaohsiung, leaving countless golden moments and surprises with Maestro Franz Welser-Möst and over 14,000 music fans in 11 days.

To safeguard the health and safety of the artists and the audience, the orchestra followed strict prevention rules and actively cooperated with local regulations, completing daily health monitoring on time and as required, so that the tour could run smoothly.

The Asian tour was made possible through the combined efforts of all partners, despite many challenges. The orchestra proved once again the absolute strength with six incredible concerts. We would like to thank the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of Hong Kong, MNAstudio and the local theatres and their teams for their generous support and cooperation, as well as to all music lovers that joined us.

In late October 2022, the Vienna Philharmonic returned to the Hong Kong stage after 11 years and became the first overseas major orchestra to visit Hong Kong in three years since the epidemic arose. All audiences were able to enjoy this sensational music feast as both concerts were simulcast through multiple channels.

It has been seven years since their last visit, and the Vienna Philharmonic has been the first international classical orchestra to perform in Taipei during years absence of international performances as well due to the pandemic. This tour also completes Vienna Philharmonic's debut in Kaohsiung with the largest organ in Asia. The Kaohsiung concert was broadcast outdoors with fans lining up three hours in advance, bringing their own picnic mats, loungers or tents, and thousands of music lovers gathering on the ground to cheer and applaud in a moving and unforgettable scene.
