From 29 May to 8 June 2023, the Wiener Symphoniker successfully held its 2023 China Tour. Under the baton of Adam Fischer and Lio Kuokman, along with soloist Julian Rachlin, the orchestra traveled to four cities in 13 days, performing at the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Shanghai Chenshan Grass Music Festival by Classic 947, Shanghai Oriental Art Centre, Shengjing Grand Theatre, and Tianjin Grand Theatre. They presented works by Johannes Brahms, Richard Strauss, Ludwig van Beethoven, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Strauss Jr., and Fritz Kreisler to over 15,000 spectators. They are the first international orchestra to return to China for a large-scale tour in 2023, which receive great passions from the Chinese public.
