St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra travelled from 9 to 16 September to five Chinese cities (Tianjin, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Nanjing), to bring the original “Russian music tableau” that gathered almost 8,000 people during the Mid-Autumn Festival. The current year marks as well the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between China and Russia. The orchestra hence took the opportunity to pay homage to the year that holds this special significance.
