Following the conclusion of the 2018 Summer Festival, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra embarked on its first long-term visit in Shanghai presenting five concerts from 18th to 22nd of October. Four of the concerts took place at Shanghai Symphony Hall and one was held open-air in Gongqing Forest Park, a special performance as part of the 20th China Shanghai International Arts Festival. The “All Star” cast of Lucerne Festival Orchestra was so popular among Chinese audience that more than 10,000 people were attracted to attend the concerts. The visit of Lucerne Festival Orchestra was regarded as a must-see art event of the year in Shanghai by mainstream media and audiences.
